Headlining bands for this year’s Bandon Music Festival will include The Blizzards, Republic of Loose and Delorentos. The festival, now in its twelfth year, takes place from Friday 30th May to Sunday 1st June, 2008.

Annually hosted on the June Bank Holiday weekend in Bandon, West Cork, this year’s festival is shaping up to be the most musically creative so far. Now considered one of Ireland’s premier summer music festivals, it will serve to encourage the promotion of Irish talent, both new and internationally established.

This year will see Meteor award winners The Blizzards live outdoors on Saturday. They will be supported by The Mark Hogan Band . Then on Sun 1st of June Republic of Loose will share the stage with Delorentos. As well as outdoor concerts, the Music Trail will take place each night of the festival in the participating venues and will combine a mixture of trad music sessions and trad/rock. Throughout the festival, there will be a superb line-up of artists both at the outdoor venues and on the Music Trail - so why not come and join us for the weekend!

3pm - 5pm: Riverview Shopping Centre - Free live music with For Folks Sake and RedFMs Red Patrollers
8pm - 11pm: The Shambles - Free live music on the Gig Rig with The Blizzards supprted by the Mark Hogan Band.

3pm - 5pm: Oliver Plunkett Street – Free live music with Rubicon, joined by set dancers
