“Cork Live 2005″ - “Magic Nights in the Lobby Bar”, a triple CD set, of original music from Cork, was launched in The Half Moon Theatre on 6th June 2006.The compilation features 53 original acts from Cork, or based in Cork during 2005.
“Magic Nights In The Lobby Bar” could not possibly cover the full rich diversity of original musicians on Leeside. It does present a sample of the vast range of creative musical talent - a cross-section drawn from Cork’s finest traditional, folk, contemporary and rock exponents and writers.
All of the tracks in this collection were recorded live in The Lobby during January/February and June/July 2005. Each artist / band was limited to one track on the compilation, with one exception John Spillane, who also supplies the title track.
